Computer Tutor  was established in 1986 in Modesto, California by Lenore Hughes to improve children’s reading, comprehension and mathematical skills. Computer Tutor began offering computer software training and clerical programs to adults in 1989. Accounting courses were added in 1992. In 1997, R. George Rawe became the Director of Computer Tutor . In 1998, Mr. Rawe became the Director/Owner and medical and computer technical programs were added. Because of the expanded program offerings, the Computer Tutor name was changed to Computer Tutor Business & Technical Institute in July 2002. Computer Tutor Business & Technical Institute first received accreditation from ACCSC in March 2003. In February 2014, the Institution moved to a new location at 4300 Sisk Rd. Modesto, CA. Effective August 1, 2017, Stellar Career College, LLC became the new owner of the school and Mr. Zulfiqar A. Satti is President and CEO. In 2020, Stellar Career College opened its second location in Chicago, IL. and our third location in Crown Point, IN. in 2023

Ms. Nielsen proudly serves as the Campus Director at Stellar Career College in Modesto, where she leads campus operations, student support services, and faculty coordination. An alumna of California State University, Chico, she brings a wealth of experience in academic administration and student services. She is responsible for maintaining accreditation standards, enhancing student retention, and ensuring a high-quality educational experience. Kristina works closely with staff and students to create a welcoming, goal-driven environment where learners are empowered to succeed in their chosen career paths.

Vic Lal – Director of Operations
With over 11 years of dedicated service at Stellar Career College, Vic Lal has been instrumental in guiding thousands of students toward successful careers. As Director of Operations at Stellar Career College, Vic Lal oversees the day-to-day functioning of all campuses, ensuring smooth coordination across departments and programs. He plays a vital role in strategic planning, compliance, and student services, while also supporting admissions and workforce placement initiatives.
