This opportunity is available to an individual who lives in Stanislaus County and is able to meet eligibility requirements. Qualified and eligible applicants will receive career training and job placement assistance at *no cost!

Project YES has grants available to young adults in Stanislaus County. This is an amazing opportunity for individuals to significantly enhance their skill set or to gain work experience with the goal of employment.

Eligible participants that are accepted into the program will have their entire course fully funded through grants.

Administrative Medical Clerk 

Employment in the medical administrative industry is on the rise. Continuously growing year after year, the demand for qualified professionals with the right training is necessary. Medical administrative professionals are a crucial factor in a functioning workplace, helping to ensure that the workplace is running efficiently. Our program includes Medical Billing and Medical Terminology, Medical front office procedures along with administrative training. Students who enroll in this program to seek post-graduation employment in positions typically including but not limited to:

  • Medical Office Clerk
  • Medial Office Receptionist
  • Medical Billing
  • Medical Front Office
  • Office Clerk
  • Customer Service Representative

Administrative Accounting Clerk

Does working in an entry-level accounting environment interest you? As a growing industry, the need for accounting clerks is higher than ever before. With Stellar Career College, you can learn the necessary skills and knowledge needed to work in virtually any customer service, office, or entry-level accounting environment. Focusing on accounting and computer applications, these administrative and bookkeeping courses are designed to help you find the accounting clerk position of your dreams. Our program includes basic Bookkeeping, QuickBooks, Accounts Payable/receivable and Payroll. Students who enroll in this program to seek post-graduation employment in positions typically including but not limited to:

  • Accounting Clerk
  • Accounts Receivable Clerk
  • Full Charge Bookkeeper
  • Audit Clerks
  • Production Clerk
  • Shipping/Receiving Clerks
  • Office Clerk
  • Accounts Payable Clerk

Medical Assisting/Patient Services Technician 

Medical Assistants assist the physicians and nurses with examining and treating patients. The objective of this program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to work at an entry-level position at a medical facility. The program provides the knowledge and skills in the structure and systems of the human body, procedures to assist the nurses and physicians, injections, vein-punctures, and emergency procedures, including EKG rhythm recognition. Students who enroll in this program to seek post-graduation employment in positions typically including but not limited to:

  • Clinical Assistant
  • Medical Clerk
  • Admission’s Clerk
  • Unit Clerk

Job placement assistance available for all Project YES participants.

*Placement assistance is provided. However, it is understood that SCC does not and cannot promise or guarantee neither employment nor level of income or wage rate to any student or graduate.

*Other approved training programs available in the local area. Not all programs offered by the college are included in this opportunity. Other financing options are available. *Individuals who have participated in a WIOA youth program may not be eligible for this grant. (Other agencies include; Career Quest, CVOC, Project Yes, and Eckerd)

Paid Work Experience

  • The work experience program is an opportunity for young adults with little to no work history to gain real-world job experience while earning income. We have a variety of different types for positions available.
