As part of the Turlock Nursing & Rehab Center team, you will assist in providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Executive Director to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must possess, at a minimum a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility or department which may include a medical and physical examination.

Responsible for cleaning /decontaminating instruments and equipment, sterilization, and handling of sterile supplies with a focus on Infection Control in order to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of Sterile Processing Program.
  • Must be available to take call to ensure patient care needs are met.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must maintain current Certification Board for Sterile Processing Certification (CBSPD) and/or Certified Registered Central Service Technician certificate from IAHCSMM
  • Completion of at least 400 hours of Central Sterile on the job training or completion of a Central Sterile Processing externship or 3 months of current Central Sterile experience.
  • Wage Range: $21.62 – $29.07

Central Supply Distribution Tech Trainee

Position Overview:

Serving the greater Stanislaus County with 423 plus acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center provides a full continuum of care including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, physical therapy, and home health. Specialized care includes Memorial Regional Cancer Center and Memorial Heart Institute.

Position Summary:

Primarily responsible for assisting in the preparation, distribution, and control of sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment used in all areas of the hospital.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Can work in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal communication skills in person and via the telephone.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own time and schedule own tasks.
  • Must have initiative to work efficiently without constant supervision and directions.
  • Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations.
